There are also lines, no pure on one blood by any means, but lines that are blends that become a line. Like the Red Boy/Jocko stuff. The Tonka-Red Baron dogs. Alligator/Frisco blends. Not crosses, but rather, blends of those bloods. We agree here?
The word "pure" is essentially an assininity to use.

Linebred/inbred is more like it, with the % being the key term ... but which term is only worthwhile if the dogs uphold the reason for the linebreeding.

If I say, "Purebred Silverback dogs" ... what does that mean?

If I say, "Linebred Silverback dogs (52.5%)" ... that tells you exactly what you're getting ... especially if I say, "Both parents proven finishers like The Gorilla" ...

Great post. Most of the dogs fall into this category. It is usually when these families are bred that we get the 'tightest Red Boy/Jocko,Snooty, Eli Hollingsworth,Bolio/Bullet/Frisco' dog in the world. The funniest part is that there is truth in their advertising as that is more than likely the only Redboy/Jocko/Eli/Snooty/Hollingworth/Bolio/Bullet/Frisco in the world, thus maybe the tightest. LOL. Examples Mims, Boyles, Busenbark, Garner, Vise Grip, etc. All have blends but they become one behind the breeders efforts. Or, you can take that one crossed dog from the blend and commit to line breeding and inbreeding on it. I.E. Frisco, Mayday, jeep, red baby, etc. Nothing is pure just the efforts to focus and cultivate.

Clarity - I love it. Very well said Jack. I'll adopt this and move forward with it.

Here's a added variation. There is a pretty well know breeder in Illinois that says he owns a produces the "purest of the pure bloodline" Tudor/Dibo. I always thought, how is that? Please feel free and your thoughts.

    Egk Said it best.

When I bump into bully breeders/lovers or just a typical petbull lover.(even tho we all are lovers of the breed) I never shed light on bloodlines. A lot of things shouldn't be explained to outsiders. So after the first few seconds of a conversation I know how to play the person.

Just watch who you explain bloodlines to. We are looking at them as idiots And they have thier assumptions of us as well.

Guys that think snooty eli redboy is a pure blood line should be schooled. Stay far away from the petbull owners.

Dude is full of, well - you know what. Dogs aren't any good either. Knew some folks that paid a couple of grand for pup, a few times, and they never got anything they paid for.

The man has passed? Didn't know that. True story here, years ago I'm talking dail-up with AOL. I just gotten out of the Marine Corps and wanted to get back into the dogs so before I enlisted I owned Mayfield bred dogs so stick with what you know right? So thanks to the internet I found Rod.K who went on to tell me about his brother being "once a Marine always a Marine" so he sent me his yard tape, free not a red cent charge so I was like man a guy willing to do that I'll go with him. Then came the price tag. I was like are you kidding me? So I've never was able to get a pup from his yard and now I'm finding out I was lucky. God rest his soul.
