Thank you all for the kind words… Yeah it sucks to lose one to cancer.
S_B, I don't think the tick caused her cancer, I think she already had it and maybe the tick bite accelerated it? When she had bloodwork done in September, it showed some abnormalities and the vet wanted to run a course of antibiotics at that time. So it could have been the cancer starting up.
She was 14, she lived a good life, and as Jack said earlier, she had to die of something.
Her mind, eyesight, and hearing were all fine even at that age, but the cancer was growing so I would have just been putting off the inevitable so I chose to let her go when she still had her dignity.
Common sense isn't so common these days.
Sorry for your lost, you gave her 14 years and she has giving you a lifetime of Memories (thats priceless)
