Rear dew claws

I was asked today by a buddy of mine if an APBT (Bulldog) can have rear dew claws. I can't say that I've ever owned or recall seeing one with rear dew claws! I've searched the www. For an answer but like a lot of topics, I read a lot of mixed answers on this subject. I'd like to hear some feedback from the members of this board on this subject.

Bryant's Pretty Boy and his sister had rear dew claws.
I've got a little 6 month old male right now that has rear dew claws.

They both have Tonka/Patrick blood in common. Not basing anything on that or saying it's where it comes from, just a fact the two dogs share. They were born about 20 years apart.

Certain lines it will pop up more often. Floyd Boudreaux said he would remove them from young pups if they had them.
