    Bath time

I have been using Dr.Bronners pure castle soap, with lavender oil, on my dog. It's an oragnic soap, and really like it. My dog is completey raw fed. I found using just plain Dr.Bronner's Castile soap, It will strip the coat ,pulls out the fat. It also comes in peppermint scent. The lavender smells good, and when he is in the sun, his coat looks slick, healthy, and oiled up. Coat condition is a result of a raw diet, but a nice soap wash is Good.
    My best.

Mark, unless I read one of your private post reply's sent to me wrong. You were interested in buying a red nose APBT, after your last dog a Am Staff or another breed passed away. Your parents after doing some internet research were not to keen on you owning a APBT. Any local reputable APBT breeder might do providing everyone else in the home is O.K. with you owning this breed of dog.

Have your parents to check out their home owners insurance. Most home owner insurance require a additional insurance rider which cost more for certain breeds of dogs. Check your local City/County law ordinances on owning a APBT in your area. Might be some very strict rules to abide by.

So what breed of dog do you have now? Certain formula Bonner soaps may be fine to wash most any breed of dog. Most dog persons would prefer something specifically designed for dogs that kill fleas etc. A proper formulated raw feed is fine also. Cheers

Every thing you have said is true, for the exception, my dog was a staffy bull, not a am staff. After he passed I told my family I wanted a red nose ofrn, they found every reason why that was not going to happen. So I adopted a shepherd mix
Thinking I could forget Bulldogs,I could not . I thought if I can't have one, I can at least learn more. My best

Mark if your family agrees to let you have a APBT and it will not affect their home owners insurance. Local ordinances are not too strict etc. The only person/breeder that has any OFRN decendanted dogs today that comes to mind. Would be Mike Norrod of Iron line kennels. Mike bought the last Bob Hemphill's dogs from Mr. Jake Wilder. Mr. Jake Wilder bought those last OFRN Hemphill dogs from Mr. Bob Hemphill.

I personally saw some of those OFRN Hemphill dogs in my teen years. My Father knew Mr. Bob Hemphill along with Mr. Howard Teal and Egan Skinner personally. Mr. Howard Teal's uncle was a Barber in my home town, was married to one of my Aunts. My next door neighbor Mr. Heyward Stokes had some of Mr. Hemphill's dogs back then. Were Red/ Red nose dogs right down to having red toe nails. Cheers
