It's back up and running. It took a little over three months for them to reactavate my account . They turn my podna's account on in a week. Try email them with the title " account paid in full need activation". I did that after waiting over three months and it was turned on two days later.

    Idea

PedsOnline was a great concept, and you have to give its originator credit for the idea

When it first came out, it truly was a great advent for our breed and the understanding of it

However, the truth of the matter is, Marco (its originator) had ZERO dog knowledge and offered nothing but a good idea (and a basic platform) in which to store dog data ... and, as such, Marco had to rely on "others" for actual dog knowledge, photographs, history, articles, etc.

Back in the day (~2000), Marco came to me for assistance with his project. When he did, Marco was respectful, and he politely asked to use my articles, my photos of dogs--my own line, those I had taken of Patrick's dogs, as well as those I had taken of Hollingsworth's dogs.

While many other well-known kennels (including some parasitic members of this site) have outright stolen my historical images (direct images, screen-grabbed from my videos, etc.), placing them on their sites, as if "they" took these images ... Marco of PedsOnline never did this. Marco had the class and dignity to directly ask me for my images, for which I thanked him and allowed him to use, no charge.

For this reason, I have nothing bad to say about the man. He had a great idea and he conducted himself with class in achieving it.

That said, Marco never offered any insight or legitimate knowledge of his own to his paying members. He basically collected money, and allowed a "free for all" on his site, subject to the whims of his (non-accomplished) moderators.

The best technical, medical, and other offered expertise on Marco's site has always come from me ... or from people copying and pasting articles they got from me.

As good as Marco's idea was, he has never bred a winner, let alone 2-decades' worth at an 87% win ratio.

The simple fact is, if 1000 dogmen had a critical problem with a dog of theirs, 1000 would contact ME for counsel as to "what to do," while ZERO would contact Marco.

And, now that I have created **this site ** ... as far as "full functionality" of computer databases go (historical records, photos able to be stored, and statistical data harvested) this site here is THE BEST pit bull site that has ever been created or even considered.

When people take their precious time to add photos, add data, etc. to *THIS* site ... it counts for something ... inputting data here provides harvestable, statistical data for ALL ... it ADDS TO HISTORY ... whereas wasting the same time entering dog info onto PedsOnline ... doesn't do a GD thing ... PedsOnline stores NOTHING USEFUL, for anyone.

Therefore, in this day and age, for those dogmen who actually care about this breed, and have the brains to appreciate it, who gives a shit about PedsOnline?

I was one of the first people adding dogs into that database it has become a pile of shit so I am hoping this site is going to be a huge improvement from there.

The trouble is, there is no quality-control over there.

I tied to instill quality-control over here, and the intelligent loved it, the derelicts hated it, and the lawless still can't understand it.

The new owner of this site, and some moderators, are still trying to keep the quality-input alive.

It is a daunting task when faced with the lack of standards, education, and wanton disregard for correct spelling that SO MANY exhibit when "abbreviating" everything, misspelling everything, and duplicating everything.

Less than 5% actually READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before trying to enter dog pedigrees here.
Less than 5% actually SPELL OUT the words like KENNELS (etc.) when entering dog names.
Less than 1% known the difference between Kennels', Kennel's, and Kennels (not to mention the abbreviated bullshit of Knls, etc.) in their data entry.

It is quite easy to get SIX (or more) entries of the SAME DOG ... due to user stupidity, lack of protocol, education, etc.

For example, one man will enter Rebel Kennels' Bubba, another will enter Rebel Kennel's Bubba, another will enter Rebel Kennels Bubba (to say nothing of Jones', Jone's, and Jones Bubba) ... and an incredible clusterf*** of multiple duplicate names for the same dog will ensue.

The tragic thing is, all of these are all LEGITIMATE EFFORTS of multiple idiots trying to enter ONE DOG correctly into the database.
Legitimate or not, multiply this clusterf*** times the 50,000 to 100,000 dogs that are possible to care about, and you have a HUGE TASK of keeping everything in order

I sold this site precisely because 1) my new career has me too busy to deal with it, and 2) I no longer wish to waste my limited free time dealing with the incredible stupidity of idiots (those who don't read before they commence, the pandemic status of the uneducated, and those who simply don't give a shit).

That said, those folks who are continuing this effort need the support of those who actually care about accurate data and doing their best to make sure all data entered is accurate.

Hats off to those who are still trying to make sure that is the case ...
