I will look around here in the states. I have one dog that eats the grass hay I put in the box. Straw, shavings whatever. In fear of being blocked up he gets minimal bedding. Last year I ended up putting him in a brood box on the cold night with a heat lamp.

I went to an all raw diet with a lot of greens thinking he was supplementing himself with the hay. It did not change anything.

He likes to graze I guess.

Wiling to try anything with him.

I've used it but typically use Pine and i always add some Seven Dust to help keep away ants, fleas or biting bugs

I'd be careful with the seven dust, it's been pulled off the market except the small 16oz bottle. It's a known carcinogenic, has caused reproductive cancer in dogs.

I know Cali Jack was high on this stuff mixed with shavings to rid the dogs of bugs and his dogs reproduction life was very short. The seven dust could have contributed to that.

    He'll eat wheat straw?

You could try hulls, cottonseed, peanut etc. They are fine which may cause other issues? But its better than freezing.

I move him to the heat box when it gets cold. When the pine straw or leaves fall this time of year he does not bother the ones on the ground.

Put something in his box and his turds the next day will be slam full of whatever bedding I choose.

I will try anything. When it does not work he gets and empty box or he gets moved to the above ground pen.

Just to reattack this, my puppy's rashes went away when I switched to pine. I'll give her another six months and then try the cedar one more time just to test it.

Incidentally, she also eats the hay I put in her box... Hasn't caused any issues yet, just poop full of hay.

Put cedar back in last week. No skin issues so far. Maybe she was just too young for it the first time around.
