    Link about Concrete Dog Houses

I saw this posted elsewhere and thought it was worth putting up here --

Common sense isn't so common these days.

I build mine out of cinder block without the barrel inside. I use a 3/4" plywood roof on hinges for ease of cleaning out straw or shavings. They are lifetime houses and relatively inexpensive to build.

JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE ON HERE STILL WORKING WITH CONCRETE HOUSES. THINKING ABOUT CUSTOMIZING SOME NEW ONES FOR NEW YARD. ANY INPUT ON PROS N CONS FROM EXPERIENCE ONLY WOULD BE HELPFUL.

We had them on a yard down in SC, they are still there and will be there until we tear them apart.. Sturdy and lasting (as long as your dogs don't chew on them) but once they are there they are there for good. So if you won't move ever again, good to have.
