What is the purpose for Garlic?

I was reading on the conditioning board Crenshaws keep and in the feed it included garlic what purpose does Garlic serve?

I believe it's only usable like that in it's fresh form, for a few seconds but adter that is simply seasoning for flavor.

Garlic is known as nature's antibiotic. As is cayenne pepper, honey and lots of other stuff.

this but be careful giving to much, garlic is family of the union, id give 1 toe 2x a week if you persist on using it.
