The Old man turned 12 today

Not a bad looking or acting 12 year old dog.

Got him in very good "older" shape: lean and trim, but not too ripped.

I don't think super-ripped is good for dogs.

I only allow him to work at his own pace. While I clean out kennels I put up his spring pole and allow him to work it as long as he wants. When I bring him in for feeding if he jumps on the mill I hook him up and allow him to run for 5 minutes only. But the key is raw diet and hand walking

Excellent routine for an older dog. The correct diet and moderate exercise really make a difference.

He looks wonderful for being 12 years old. Congrats and Happy Birthday to the old man!
Common sense isn't so common these days.

So I did a breeding with the old man and it did not take. I was kinda upset until today when I took him to my reproductive vet and they collected him for a eval. So we have 4 more straws and a 12 year old dog with 85% mobility.
