Sorry, never saw it.
What about that Marlowe girl that used to have bulldogs ? Think I've never seen a pic of her.
Nice lookin’ gal Jack! Glad you both are having fun. South FL has a lot to see, you might take in the Wolfsonian museum in Miami some time –

To help educate her on the bulldogs, you might see if you can get a hold of Fredric Maffei’s book “The Life of Humbug”. It is a great read about the dogs and what makes them what they are. It is very well written and I have used this book for many years to educate folks on bulldogs.
I know the author and he says he is re-working this book and will put it out in a new edition soon. The original book was excellent, he is a good writer and knows the breed well. I will post when he has the new book ready in the For sale section.
But if you can get an original copy of Humbug, have Trish read it, it’s a good book to show what these dogs are like. I had an extra copy for loaning but the last person kept it and my loaner copy of Red Tina both, so I don’t have any spares right now…
Common sense isn't so common these days.
Hi Sara. Thanks for the tips & good ideas.
It's funny you mention a novel, because I actually shared something similar with her, the manuscript for my own novel, "War Dog," which I never got around to finishing ... but which also tells the essence of the breed.
Cheers,
Jack
Enjoying a day of boating down the intercoastal, and then a lovely lunch at the Sailboat Marina, in Palm Beach, Florida. Gorgeous day, gorgeous weather, gorgeous girlfriend, and I'm not doing too bad either for a guy who turns 49 years old in 2 weeks. Life is good
People keep asking me, "Where have I been," etc., so I thought "A picture's worth a thousand words. Basically, I have been enjoying life like a normal dude for a change, LOL
Will be going up to St. Marks Wildlife Refuge in a couple of weeks (my birthday weekend) to watch the final migration of the Monarch butterflies before they head down into Mexico.
Cheers,
Jack
