Question though, will we not recognize those who've been awarded DOY in the past or future from the SDJ?

I personally think those dogs earned those titles and deserve the recognition here as well.

At least that was my thought process in the suggestion to differentiate PBBDOY vs DOY etc all are deserving titles.

Exactly.

The past DOYs still have their DOY status, as well they should, but the future DOY title will be our DOY title, not someone else's

It can be put in the Notes that "So-and-so" won some other DOY status, but the actual title will only be from here.
