Letting the board know the outcome.

I had a problem a while back with my males urine being orange. I told you all I would let you know the findings. Jack , Dr. Birkenheuer ran the tests and he was negative for babesia. He did find something he called billy ruben in the urine sample. He stated it come from the liver. Liver, Kidneys and heart were all fine. He felt a round of Baytril would clear the infection. Sorry it took so long to let you all know. Thanks for all the help on the posts you all sent even the pm's

    I think you meant bilirubin

Bilirubin is a brownish yellow substance found in bile and is produced when the liver breaks down old red blood cells. Elevated levels will cause jaundice and can mean an infection. So, if Dr. B. says Baytril, then I would give your dog Baytril.

Thanks for letting us know and hope he gets better soon.

    Jack
