Okay, Obama just won me over ... which is not an easy thing to do ...

Always despised Obama ... but now I will have to re-think this ... as he just stood up for The American Pit Bull Terrier across our Nation:

Dude has some freakin sense and some honesty (at least in some respects), and so I have to do this

Nice !! I made this post was not all that good but it stands up for the breed http://realpitsnobull.blogspot.com/2...chive.html?m=1 it's the humans that get the dogs in trouble not the dogs . We Have to understand the animal you have and protect them even from themselves sometimes now things happen that's life but if we all do our part we can make peps understand it not the breed. The dog whisper I think helped out pitbulls , shorty pitbulls, and that rescue pitbull show all help I think. But there will always be some people because there always are!!

I don't know how much of an effect this will have on BSL. Things will probably just remain the same. At most it gives ppl who fight BSL a leg to stand on in a way that they can say Hey, even the federal gov. thinks this is a dumb idea. That's about it though. Every time a pitbull attacks and kills an elderly or small person BSL will be looked at in that particular county. Population is the problem. Too many pet bulls, the more popular they are in an area the more loose dogs and dog bites there will be. Chihuahuas are most popular where I live so they are always loose and biting people but those attacks aren't fatal or leaving people disfigured so it's not a problem. They just jack up the dog registration fee's for non neutered dogs to combat that issue.

it's nearly $300 per dog to register with the county if the dog is not neutered or spayed. AC goes door to door trying to bust ppl because the price is so high people just don't register their dogs. population problems.

Your probably right.......other than that dogfolks aint the majority of pit/petbull owners, the majority of the rest of these folks owning em are rescue nut college chicks, white trash & hoodrats. I cant tell you how many times I had to tell people to leash theyre dogs when I was workin @ a pet store.......

If we are going to compare the presidents, it would be tough. The second term is where they should be judged. Obama inherited a ton of problems from the Bush administration, just as Bush inherited the shortcomings of the Clinton administration. If us older people remember Ross Perot was just some narrow minded, crack pot when he said the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) would derail the US economy within ten years. It made our borders permeable, people coming in and jobs going out. NAFTA made outsourcing profitable.
As far as the war and WMD. It was a no win situation from day one. The Soviets could not stop the Afghani people in ten years without the restraints of the Geneva convention so there is no way we could with it. The Iraqi people were not looking for a coup and a police force. Our troops have adapted well but they were trained to be soldiers not the international police department.
As far as Obama and the individual act of speaking against BSL and offering support to the Pitbull, I applaud that. Whenever a politician, and especially the president, speaks with common sense and good judgment I sit back and look for the strings attached. For this, I hope it does not have one. Good job, Mr. President. I appreciate the nod. EWO
