There are many in the fraternity that have served in our armed forces. I just want to take the time to say thanks. God bless those who gave. Remember, All Gave Some and Some Gave All.

Without a doubt. I served during Desert Storm. Nothing in comparison to what the young men and women are doing today/have done in the past 10 years or so. I appreciate their service tremendously. Much appreciation to those that have served, continue to serve and those young people who will be serving soon. God Bless.

Sorry I am a day late with this, but Thank You to all the veterans who have served our country
My father is one of the few remaining World War II veterans left alive.
He grew up in The Great Depression and didn't have two nickels to rub together.
When he was 17, he falsified his age so that he could join the cause and defend our country.
He served on a Destroyer for the US Navy and permanently lost the hearing in one ear operating the huge canons with minimal ear protection back then.
When he returned from service, other than his very first home, my dad paid cash for everything he ever owned.
He paid cash for his cars, for his other homes, and my brother's and my education.
If my father says he'll "be there at 12," you can set your watch and he will be there at exactly 12.
On November 5, he and my mother celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.
They don't make too many men like my father anymore.
My dad's birthday and mine are 1 day apart.
I had been on the southeast coast for over 15 years, and we hadn't celebrated a "mutual birthday" together for too long a time.
A couple weekends ago, we had the chance to celebrate our two birthdays together again, and I am very grateful for that opportunity.
He turned 87, I turned 50 ... boy time sure does fly.
Happy Birthday, Dad, I love you ... and thank you for serving our country
Jack
