Number of Ch, Gr Ch, POR, and ROM dogs in a ped

Is it just me or does this bother other dog men as well. I don't understand why some people say their dog has 6 Ch and 4 Gr Ch and 12 ROMs in their 4 generation pedigree, when it is the same dogs they are referring to? I know why they do it, but it just seems off to me. Why do you count the same Ch twice or 4 times if it's the same dog? Can someone explain this to me?

It is all about selling puppies.

There are some people out there that really think having a title of some sort is the pinnacle. Same dog or not; a CH still is making up a larger portion of the pedigree and some people love that. Some don't care. We all have a different level of understanding when it comes to dogs and we all look at them from different angles.

Yeah I understand. It's just a pet peeve of mine. For example, instead of saying 6 Gr Ch and 6 ROM's in 4 gen, just say double "so and so" or whatever.
